Two questions about whey protein powder?

I'm a 17 year old guy who is just starting to work out and lift at the gym. I feel that in order to become fitter and stronger, I should start taking whey protein.

one, what are the different kinds of whey protein powder and what makes them so different? which one is the best?

two, how exactly do I make a whey protein drink if I don't have a blender?
