My cat has gone missing I'm so worried

For the last few days me and my family have been at our summer cabin in a remote bay. As usual we brought our cat. We have always let the cat outside and she have always returned to the cabin waiting to come in. However this day she didn't come back. The cat was meowing to go out so of course I let her out. This was at about 11 pm. The next morning about 6:30 I was wakened by my dog barking ferociously at something outside of the cabin. I was half asleep so I didn't know what was going on. She kept aggressively barking and barking as if she saw something outside in the window. So I got up and let her out. She charged off into the woods. I went back to bed and fell asleep. I woke up at 10 am to let the cat in and surprisingly she was not there, she is usually there waiting very early. Me and another guy searched and searched all around the cabin and the surrounding area, shaking the treAts to attract the cat. We tried this for about 6 hours but still no sign of the cat. I am very worried 😩. I'm worried that the cat might have been dragged off and eaten by an animal, since my dog was barking at something outside. I also think the cat might have been scared off and traumatized since there was no signs of blood or fur or anything in the area (my cat usually wanders around and under the cabin). I'm so worried for her safety and I don't know what to do with myself 😭 I can't bear the thought of something happening to my wonderful cat. Any advice please?

Cats are very agile and cautious. Its unlikely she was attacked or taken by an animal, especially in a cabin area. However if you were in the middle of a random, uninhabited forest you should worry. If you haven't found your cat by now (since its been a week) you should seriously consider the fact they may be gone. However, don't lose hope. My friend Edin has a cat that once went missing for 2 weeks and turned up back at their house, still alive and healthy.
