i received a summons for a car accident and it said that I had 30 days to answer, I overlooked this and found out only months later. I immediately went to court and the clerk said that the plaintiff has not filed and that I still had time to answer, I was relieved. now will my insurance defend me even though its way past the 30 days, they have told me that they will let me know. will I need to get my own lawyer and if lets say the case goes into default will I able to hire a lawyer to reverse the default judgement?
