SEO means Search Engine Optimization. It is the process of optimizing your web site for the purpose of getting organic traffic for a website. Nowadays, it is very helpful to optimize a website on Search Engine. It helps to improve traffic, and brand promotion.

There are two types of Search Engine Optimization.
1. ON page
2. OFF page

SEM means Search Engine Marketing; it is marketing process with a goal of getting more visibility in search engines either by getting more free traffic (SEO) or paid traffic. I am working an SEO executive at SHILabs Private Limited. It is a good digital marketing company.

The difference between SEO and SEM:- SEO is Exempt and based on organic search strategies, while SEM has a cost and is based on paid advertising. SEO takes time to take hold of effect, while SEM is instant. SEM results in element ad extensions, while SEO results have featured snippets. The website owner pays every time someone clicks on his ad. Website owners pay nothing when a user clicks on their web page. SEO strives to add value to a website over time. SEM efforts are instant and offer no lasting value.
