Probably not that much. You can tell more about a person by speaking a while with them then some list of thjngs they may have done in the past. In either case it may be prudent if its neccisary or just take them on in faoth if they really need the job

Background checks can provide an employer with insight into the job applicant's criminal history, driving record, credit history and character. You wouldn't want to hire someone with violent felonies on their record, that could cause problems in the workplace. Someone with a horrible driving record shouldn't be given keys to a company vehicle. A bad credit report can be a sign of an irresponsible person, or someone with financial problems may be more likely to steal or embezzle money.
