What would be the best computer science related degree to get?

My husband is going to be able to get vocational retraining (free school!) for two years. He is thinking that Computer Science would be a great field to go into. What area of Computer Science, or specific degree, would give him the most bang for his buck? Keep in mind that he only has two years (though continued education is not completely out of the question), and is hoping to get a good job after these two years, Thanks!
