I'm applying for a work/holiday visa in Australia but I have 12 criminal convictions.

Hi all, I have a question regarding applying for a work/holiday visa in Australia for up to a year but I have 12 previous criminal convictions , including two serious assault to injury + one common assault dating back to 2007 an 2008. I have drink driving an dangerous driving. Vandalism x2 (minor) breach of the peace. Abusive an threatening behavior whilst under the influence of alcohol and also drunk an disorderly. Theft by shop lifting. and two silly cautions. The maximum punishment I received was a community pay back order consisting of 150 hours. Yes I was so silly an immature etc but now i'm 24 and all grown up and have been in impeccable behavior for the past 4-5 years. Most opinions I've heard from people getting work visa's with criminal convictions, have said as long as you don't have a substantial criminal record then your pretty much ok and or have ever been diagnosed as being insane etc or received 12 months or more imprisonment then there should be no real problems.

If anyone has had a similar experience , then please drop me a message :) appreciate it.

I don't think I can answer your question but you can ask at the official Australian government site this one https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/ or to a third party like this one thttps://www.travelvisaaustralia.com.au, I hope this can help you.

In cases like that, you better talk to a professional consultant or to an immigration consultant https://www.migrationexpert.com.au/australian_visa/ will be a great help. Good luck!
