Today I discovered that I was just being used by a girl, what does it mean?

Okay well this Girl I really really like I tried to date her and she said she might would and then we almost did but today I found out that she was only doing it because she felt sorry for me and because I wasn't "boyfriend material" and it has really made me upset.What should I do?
