How do I watch a movie with a guy I like?

I want to invite a guy I like over to watch a movie (I don't mean sex). I don't wanna make it awkward and watch it in my room, but my parents hang out in the living room. How do I deal with this situation? Ask my parents to let us watch the movie in the living room alone (which I don't think my parents would like), or in my room (which my parents wouldn't like either)? The guy and I are both 16 and very conservative if that helps.
