How do you completely uninstall Chromium on your computer?

I'm not sure where or how Chromium (a web browser) got downloaded, so I uninstalled it in my control panel. Even though I've uninstalled it the web browser still starts up and the files are still in my folders. When I went back to the control panel to check if I really uninstalled it, it wasn't there. How do I completely remove it from my computer?

To remove Chromium using the Control Panel, do the following:
Open the Control Panel, and then choose Uninstall a program.
Choose Chromium from the list of programs, and then click on the Uninstall button at the header of the list.
Click Uninstall in the confirmation dialog dialog box.
