Hi,
There are many manual processes using which you can convert Thunderbird data to Outlook.
One is explained as :
• Open Thunderbird and go to the desired folder that you want to export data from Thunderbird to Outlook.
• Select all the messages by using the Ctrl+A key or to export selective emails only, press and hold the Ctrl Key while selecting the messages.
• To save the emails, right click and click on Save As option. Choose the destination folder where you want to save the resultant Thunderbird emails in EML format.
Now follow these steps to import thunderbird mail in outlook 2010 :
Open Outlook >> Right Click Outlook Folder and select New Folder from the menu that appears. Enter the name of the new folder in the name box and click on OK button. Select the just created folder (which must be empty) >> select all the exported Thunderbird emails which now are in EML file. Drag and drop all the selected emails into the middle pane of Outlook 2010 for importing in newly created folder.
As you can see this process is quite complex and lengthy, which every user cannot follow easily. Also there always is risk of data loss and corruption which nobody want to bear. So its better to opt for a third party solution for accurate conversion of Thunderbird email data files to Outlook. I know one such software is "MBOX Converter" that convert Thunderbird data to Outlook and manages to save their attachments too. I have myself used this utility and I am hopeful that it will prove beneficial for you too.
