Is sam liable for dameges

daniel,a tomato cultivator,having observed that his tomato plants were turning slightly yellowish,was advised by sam,a dealer in fertiliezer to apply "sam's nutri plant" fertilizer.daniel purchased a bag of fertilizer and applied the contents of it to his tomato plants. the plants however got destroyed. as a result daniel lost his his entire tomato crop.an analysis showed that substances of "sam's nutri plant" fertilizer are harmful to tomato plants.
