How to avoid GIF file being saved into different files.

I made a gif to send out as a newsletter. I sliced the file to add hyperlinks. When I save it for the web, photoshop saves it as about 8 different files. I can't piece them together on gmail so idk how to use. I can't send it out as a html either because the file doesnt show up. Anyone has a solution?
