Is it right to lead your bf/gf on if you want to break up? What are the signs?

I don't know exactly how someone would go about finding out if their boyfriend or girlfriend wants to break up with them. My girlfriend doesn't seem interested in me anymore, or interested in keeping our relationship going. We've been together for six months now, and from the beginning I always felt like she was the one. I do confront her sometimes about not being supportive of our relationship, and she denies it and tells me that she does everything she can. She's basically saying that she has to put up with a lot from me, but I have to put up a lot from her too.. it's really frustrating. I even 'tested' and asked her if she thought it'd be a good idea to take a break. And she said she doesn't do breaks.. so we just stopped talking for a while, but we were still together. I don't feel like she wants to be in this relationship and is just waiting for me to break up with her.. it really breaks my heart :'/ She tells me she's just a naturally rude person, and that for five months that we've been together she's been hiding that part of her. I don't know if I believe that or not.. I just need some advice of what I should do or look out for, please help :(
