When a person in hospice has been given 72 hours

I have a friend in hospice she has been in an unresponsive state since sat, in which we were told 72 hours. Yesterday there was some moaning and twitching. Early this morning her blood pressure and breathing dropped. Later her temp fluctuated. Her body has started molting and the "death rattle" around 4. By 7 she was fighting for air. But now she seems fine like nothing mentioned above ever happened. Her oxygen is 82. Her heart rate nurses say are ok. I don't want to leave if she is going to pass. I know no one can say exactly when but is this normal. All the death stages so far have been text book. Any advice would be appreciated.
