My family don't understand my adhd, help?

I have recently had many suicide attempts and been discharged from a Psychiatric intensive care unit and diagnosed with adhd. None of my family understand me and I try explain and they just till don't get it and when I offered to print off information for them they just laughed at the idea. I don't know what else I can do and I feel like I will get worse and worse from their miss understandment.

I'm probably just about as clueless as your parents about ADHD. But maybe you could talk to somebody who does understand. A support group? (Do they have ADHD support groups? Probably) Tell them that it's a serious thing and talk about it together. But don't do the suicide thing because we were all created to serve a purpose and life is special... Yada yada yada. But seriously, don't.
