I would like to start singing in clubs and pubs around liverpool bit don't know where to start.

I have a good voice but no previous experience. I want to song to the public to gain confidence and experience and mostly for my enjoyment. Ii have no idea were to start tho. I play no instruments and have no friends who do so. Do pubs and clubs ever just provide the backing without it just being karaoke?
