Why god has created this whole universe? what is the main reason behind it?

What is the main purpose of God about creating this whole universe? Why God has sent us on Earth?

Well... I think it's to give us signs and messages. You ever hear about that blood moon that we had the 15th of this month? There is supposed to be another one this year, then a lunar eclipse after that (I can't remember the date) then in 2015, two more. This was predicted by NASA. There have only been three(?) other blood moons ever recorded in history. The first one was in 1492 When Columbus sailed the ocean, that was when America was discovered. The others had something to do with Israel. It just do happens that a blood moon happens around the same time that something huge happens along with it. The last blood moon we had, (this month) happened on Passover. The next one is predicted to happen on Sukkot (Not sure how to spell it) and the next two will happen on those days as well. How is that just a coincidence? Another thing, is that NASA's blood moon predictions were already predicted. The EXACT prediction of the Four Blood Moons along with the lunar eclipse in between, is written in the bible. It was predicted 1500 YEARS before the first recorded blood moon ever even occurred. Never mind 2000 years before its prediction came true. It's been said that God is trying to send us a message that the end is near. Personally, I'm not sure about that, but God is definitely trying to tell us something, and something big is going to happen in this world.

I really enjoyed this question, because I have never heard anyone ask it before. Revelation 4:11 says, "because of your (God's) will they came into existance and were created." So like all other created things, the universe, along with the earth, exist because of God's will. He made his purpose very clear when he created the first man and woman. At Genesis 1:28 it says: "be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving upon the earth." Our being on earth is permanent. God said that he did not make the earth for nothing but, rather, that he has given it to men a home. Some scriptures that support this is Psalms 37:11; 115:16; and Isaiah 45:18. God's purpose for us to live on the earth in perfection and happiness with eternal life. So it raises the question why is there so such sickness and death? If God purpose us to live in happiness then why do we suffer so much pain and unhappiness? I often contemplate this question myself. (You know those nights were you don't want to sleep so you lie on your back and think random thoughts) and I've come to the conclusion that we are individually put on this Earth to so something unique. To serve a purpose. If this is the case, suppose a follow-up question would be "What's my purpose?"

I'm not religious, but god probably wanted to watch some reality TV and the other species out there were getting boring so he made us and now we are destroying ourselves so its getting interesting and... Yeah.
