Improving bikini line for a black woman

I have been shaving over the years and my bikini line has gone from dark to super dark. I've stopped shaving but I can't even ear a bikini because it's that bad and It's pretty embarrassing. Although I'm black, my skin is really light.my skin color is closer to a caramel tone. My bikini line is more a dark chocolate. Yup that bad!
I was wondering if any other black women or women of colour have this issue too. Bikini season is coming up and my fiancé and I are going on holiday in a few months. I would love to be able to wear a bikini and not have to be embarrassed or worried. I have 4 months. Please help! Any tips or recommendations would be appreciated!
