How to Stop Game Center in game popups (Apple iPod Touch 4th gen iOS 6)

Basically, you go in a game on my iPod touch 4th gen, and after a few seconds a message appears saying 'Sign in to Game Center'. If I put my Apple ID in and press login, it says loading but never actually does load (just puts a big loading spiny thing on the screen). The other option is to press cancel in the top left of the screen. When you do this, the button pushes (when you hold your finger over it it goes darker brown) but it does not shut the message. What can I do to be able to play on my games again (if its any help, I'm not really interested in Game Center)?

An iPod is a good device for holding all of your music, videos and pictures in one place. Having a broken iPod is something nobody wants. For most users, the green screen is something unknown. If you do have the bad luck of experiencing this brother to the PC blue screen of death, there are steps to follow to get your iPod back up and running

Whenever you open any game from your iPhone or iPad, you will receive a welcome notification message from the Game Center app. Now, this tiny welcome banner at the top of the screen (which says: “Welcome Back, iOS8Release”) stops you from accessing the game menu for a couple of seconds. To enjoy playing the game, you have to wait until the banner fades away.

This can be truly annoying. Plus, some of us never really use Game Center on our devices. And that is why it is better to remove it, right?
