I need help with something please. I am doing a business case to propose a conveyor system. I want to show that one option is better than the other by using a "cost" to "pallet" ratio. For Option 1, the cost is R161179.39 and can hold 23 pallets. For option 2, the cost is R287708.313 and can hold 41 pallets.
Is it correct if I do the following:
Option 1: R161 179.39 : 23 pallets
= R161 179.39 ÷ 23 = 7007.8
Option 2: R287 708.313 : 41
= R287 708.313 ÷ 41 = 7017.28
Therefore, the percentage increase/decrease = (7017,28 - 7007,8/7007,8) * 100 = 0.14%.
