Boyfriend doesn't buy any gift over 4 years, what should I do?

I've been going out with this guy for nearly 4 years now and on holidays, anniversaries (beside the 1st one) and my birthday I have NEVER received a gift, a card or anything else. Simply nothing... I don't expect it but I don't feel special into his eyes. I'd be happy enough if he even wrote me a small letter or anything! But nope... I don't know what to do, I talk to him about it and he makes me feel so bad.... That him calling me and us hanging out is "more then enough", I should feel privileged. Our relationship is amazing, we never fight, always have fun to be with him... Like there's nothing wrong about our relationship besides this, but I don't want to leave him over the gift issue, I don't want to seem like a materialistic girl when I'm not!
What should I do??? :( please help somebody!

you need to talk to him about this tell him that he isn't making you feel special anymore don't be scared to tell him this if he was a good bf he would understand
