I am learning a detectives case.kindly please help me with a suitable explanation

Imagine yourself a real homicide Detective working a real case and you found a dead body lying around in a yard with severe bludgeoning on the head and, marks on the victim’s neck show signs of strangulation. What can you infer about the personality of the killer?

what was the cause of death the hits to the head or the strangulation? A coroner's report should say what the actual cause of death was and if the others were leading up to the victims death or prior to it.
