How do a add power steering fluid Malibu 05 3.5L V6 engine

Malibu 05 (3.5L V6 engine)

if the (power steering) word shows up on my stereo and the steering wheel starts to get hard to turn, but when I turned off the ignition the wheel when to normal and the word despaired, where do I check if the car needs power steering fluid? And the same with the transmission oil, where do I check for that too? I read most of my owners manual and can not find a thing on power steering or transmission info.
I would appreciate your help.

The owner's manual SHOULD cover it, strange that it doesn't. The transmission fluid fill doodad will be difficult to locate.
