Is it okay for a girl to ask a guy to the school dance?

Its for sixth grade. (what im in) The school dance is in a week, and I'm the new kid, so I'm scared no one wil ask me. So if no one asks me, Is it okay for ME to ask a GUY?
btw, I'm not gonna have it be a date or anything, I just wanna have some fun :)

Of course it is! This is the 21st century, if your confident enough to ask a boy to the dance then go for it girl! It doesn't matter if your the one asking its more about having fun at the dance, so go for it :)
