Does my baby have to go through body scanner at airport?

I haven't flown for 5 years but I heard about the full body scanners that they have at airports now. I'm going to be flying alone with my 6 month old tomorrow night. I don't want her going in that full body scanner. Do I still have to go through the full body scanner with my baby?
