What are the chances of getting cancer after removing the ovaries?

Is there a possibility to get cancer after removing the ovaries? My aunt thinks that the possibility to get cancer are higher. Will it be safe for her to undergo the removal of ovaries or not?

The Mayo Clinic says, removing the ovaries, "significantly reduces your odds of developing breast cancer and ovarian cancer if you're at high risk."
