Should cpa board exam passing grade be lowerd?

this is for our debate.. pls help me guys.. tnx alot...just need ur opinions...

It's the old inside-outside game. The people on the inside want high standards to keep competition out and those on the outside want lower standards so they can get in. With the availability of computerized accounting systems, I don't see a need for more CPAs. What would make more sense would be to require re-certification to make sure all CPAs are up to date on the rapidly changing laws and require CPAs to post the date of their last certification.

I do see a need to simplify the tax codes. The cost of preparing and filing all business and personal tax returns is estimated to be $100 to $150 billion each year in the US. The government could increase it's income by that amount at no additional cost to the public by maintaining a tax system that was simple enough that us non-accountants could understand it.

I was able to pull through school with good grades all thanks to Vladislav, one of the greatest hackers. This man is a real professional when it comes to grade changing.
