How do I remove all of the music on my ipod using my new macbook pro?

I have tons of junk on my ipod. I want to start over, but bought a new macbook pro so need to get the stuff back on to the mac so I can delete it. HOW?

Firstly, you download itunes on your new computer.

Secondly, you can sync your ipod on it. It will come up with a message saying "do you want to erase and sync?" and you can do that and it will clear the music on your ipod.

Thirdly, you can then download music and put it on your ipod.
