How to make a minecraft sever on a macbook pro.

so I have a macbook pro 13 and I have tried making a minecraft server and I had broke it and I did't know how to fix it and I did't have back up and I rested me laptop and then I got this whole other problem which I won't talk about, I really wondering how to make a server on a mac book pro I looked it up and there are not one vid or a written form for a mac book pro so can someone tell me how to make a server on a macbook pro and how do I back up my minecraft so I don't break it?

1.first off all backup
just copy paste it in a new folder
2.download hamachi here - http://logmein-hamachi.nl.softonic.com/
click on gratis download
3.go to minecraft.net and go to downloads
then u see a server put it in a map and open it
4.then go to the server text and change ur IP and all modes u wanna change
5.click on the server file with java in it

DONE
