Is getting a B in math a bad grade for middle school?

I'm a middle school 7th grader that usually gets straight A's on everything. But recently, with all the stress that has been going on, I recieved a B in math and I asked my teacher for retakes, but he said no. (Of course because he isnt a good teacher). And I want to be a Surgeon when I grow up, but my dad said getting a B in math just lost me my choice of careers. So my Question is, is it really bad? And also what grades did you have as a kid? do you have a high paying career now?

I'm a 7th grader also , I always got B and sometimes C but now I took A because of studying algebra everyday and solving equations so don't be scared its just an exam , and don't worry about career you can be anything you want you're still 7th grade not in 10th so study harder the next time to show your Dad that you can do it.
