All over the world people grow up within families and communities and most often everybody in that family and that community have the same beliefs. In a few cases a person may choose a different belief than his family or the culture he/she grew up in but the vast majority believe what their parents believed.
It has always been very difficult for me to understand how a great and just God would provide the "keys to the kingdom" to one ethnic group on Earth and lock the rest of the world's population out because they are taught something very different. God is almighty no matter what label you use but I believe God operates on a much greater scale than we humans are able to comprehend.
All of mankind lives under the same set of rules, enjoys the same benefits and suffers the same consequences under God. The idea that my God is somehow superior to yours is an idea created by our ancestors and perpetuated by the many religions today, but I don't believe that any religion is the chosen one in the eyes of God.
