Location written in numbers ! (In shippings)?

So I bought an item of ebay and the seller sent me the tracking code and the website where to track and view all updates about my item..
And I saw that there was a location of where it is but it's written in 8 digit number, so how can I convert the number to it's location ? I tried entering the first number from where it was shipped in google maps but it showed me san diege which is wrong because I know that the seller ships from China.
So I have diffrent numbers ( because it got to different locations..) how can I know what are the locations ?

And another thing, the latest status shows me " Departure from outward office of exchange" what does this mean?

I hope to get an answer quick, ASAP!!
