LG optimus L9 phone - attachments download

When I attempt to download the attachment sent to me via text message, it says: "currently unable to download, please try again later". It doesn't give me any reason why this happens. I have downloaded attachments successfully before using the same phone, so sometimes it works and other it doesn't. Anyone can help me please... Thank you :)
