Do you think cooking cakes in an electric over is Difficult always under cook

Cooking cake in electric oven is difficult because recipes asks for temperature 350 for 20 minutes the cake is under cooked in the middle its gummy in the middle.

Whether the oven is electric or gas isn't the issue, it's the distribution of the heat. If you preheat the oven to 350 degrees then insert the cake in the center of the oven for 20 minutes, that should work. But before you take it out, insert a long toothpick in the center. If it comes out with goo on it, it isn't finished. If it comes out clean, it is.
