During the embalming process of pharaohs, how did they suck the brains out the nose?

During the embalming process of Egyptians, it is said the brains were sucked out through the nostrils. How is that possible? Is the brain really that assessable through the nose? How did they physically do that?

They weren't "sucked out." A rod was inserted into the brain via the nose to puncture the brain then the body was placed face down for the matter to drain out.
