Seagate 500gb external hard drive problems.

Hi I have a seagate external hard drive (500gb)
It says the hard drive is corrupted and unreadable.
When I go on properties and try to run disk check it tells me the disk is not accessable,so I can not run check disk.
Did I lose all my data??
Is there anything I can do??

Seagate also offers some data recovery options at a price (link below). Some of those options cost more than the price of a new hard drive. Their pricing policy doesn't give them much incentive to make a quality product.

Maybe that will be erased the data from your hard drive. I suggest you to go for the professional hard drive shop for repair.
