Keyboard on Acer aspire does not work.

I have recently found an old Acer Aspire 5100. I have no hard drive for it. At first the screen wouldn't work then suddenly after awhile the screen was fixed. But I also have found that the keyboard/touchpad doesn't work. I do not have a usb-keyboard that I can use. Can you help me?

Without question, an external mouse and keyboard are a quicker and less expensive solution than digging into it.
