Does anyone know whether Pharmaceutical companies publish their product information for their drugs.

I'm doing research on whether their are laws asking pharmaceutical companies to make public their product information for all medicines they produce i.e. Vet and/or Human. If so, are these laws restricted by location? e.g. FDA, EMA etc. If anyone knows of any website where I can go on to search for medicine product information, please kindly let me know.
Do you think the public will benefit if medicine product information are made accessible to all? Please explain why if your answer is yes. Is it profitable for the pharmaceutical companies to do this? If your answer is yes, please explain why you think so.

Medicine Product Information:

Whether it's medicine or a wiring diagram of your refrigerator, all product information benefits the public. In the case of drugs, it's not so much an issue of profit, rather one of liability. When taken improperly of in conflict with other medicines, drugs can be dangerous. Providing information and warnings help the public avoid the dangers and limit the liability for drug manafacturers.

Thanks for your response. Do you then think it is worth creating an app for the medicines product information so that people can have it with them at all times?

In the area where I live, the pharmacists have computer software that looks at all of the medicines you take and warns of any conflicts. They also include printed information on the medicines when the prescription is filled. The app might be useful to people who get their prescriptions filled at different places though.

Hi Rob,
Thanks for your feedback. So I think it's a good idea to have an app for the public as well where they can check for this information themselves. This application is why i'm doing the research to know whether it is lucrative to create such an application.

Yup they need to post information about the drugs. FDA requires that Medication Guides be issued with certain prescribed drugs and biological products when the Agency determines that:

certain information is necessary to prevent serious adverse effects
patient decision-making should be informed by information about a known serious side effect with a product, or
patient adherence to directions for the use of a product are essential to its effectiveness.
