How to save gmail to desktop

Once I am on the Gmail website, how do I save it to my desktop?

If you want to save only the text in an email:

Right click on the text and click Select All
Right Click again and select 'Copy'
Load Notepad, right click on the text box and do 'Paste.
Save the text file to your desktop.

To save the page as it looks in GMail (make a HTML file), do File/Save in your browser.
