Why didn't java recognize java download

i downloaded java several times. Why didn't java recognize it as an active download

The link below has a list of problems associated with the Java install. Look through them and see if any of them relate to your problem.

If that doesn't help, look up the "System Restore" tool for the version of Windows you're running and roll it back to a date when it was working.

A conflict between Java versions 7u10 and above and previous standalone installations of JavaFX can cause Firefox to not recognize installed Java versions.
