Top back of the roof of my mouth hurts?

It hurts. The thing is, a few months ago I tried to roll my own cigarette, and I didn't roll it right, and when I inhaled, fire hit the part that hurts. It doesn't hurt all the time, it just hurts right now. Is this just irritation? When will it go away?

Also, a few weeks ago the doctor looked in my mouth (for throat concerns) and he saw nothing. It did hurt then. Also the pain rarely happens.

I'm guessing that after a few months your throat should have healed from the cigarette disaster... I'm not a doctor, though. Sorry I'm not sure what to say about the rest of it. I would suggest that you start to make note of your symptoms on a calendar so you can share them with your doctor on your next visit.
