Do you need rubber bands in your braces only if you have an overbite?

Im getting braces and I am getting them because I hve an overbit and I saw a video that they put rubber bands in their so do the do it?

Well, with overbite, they usually do give you rubber bands. I had overbite and I had to wear them so I would imagine you probubly would to.
