The same way you would disassemble a watch that size. Since they started putting turn signal levers, dimmer switches, ignition and tilt in steering wheels, it takes someone with the patience and skills of a watchmaker to take them apart.
My '95 Jeep Wrangler had a problem with the dimmer switch and I rewired it back to the floorboard stomp switch rather than go through that. Unless you feel comfortable with thousands of tiny parts and springs laying out on the table, I would make disassembly the absolute last option.
