The pre-registration programme combines the theoretical element of training via the OU’s tried and tested distance learning with an assessment of practical ability, predominantly carried out in the person's own workplace. It enables Healthcare Assistants (HCAs), who traditionally wouldn’t have been able to afford to commit to full-time study, the opportunity to pursue their goals whilst continuing in paid employment.Although the OU says she is required to do 26 hours per week and the dates they give cover the 24 weeks of the year, it would appear that part of those hours are assessments in her paid work, so from 13th May 2011 can we consider she fulfils the criteria - 13 May 2011 is from when the law has been changed so that so long as all other full time student status criteria are met there is no longer a need to be attenting the prescribed establishment that one is studying through.

No matter what someone tells you here, the final answer to your question will come from the university. Wouldn't it be much simpler to ask the admissions office there?
