IPhone 3G unlocking vs jailbreaking.

I have an iPhone 3g and I had it with at&t for two years, the contract is over and I have moved to south america...
If I unlock it will I lose connection to the app store???
I really want to use it but if I jailbreak it I won't be able to use the app store right???
What should I do? Is it possible to use the phone with another wireless company and still connect to the app store?

Hi unlocking iphone3gs means you can use means different country with different network provider.Normally all phones are built in some restriction. If you want to remove the restriction unlocking is needed. After unlock your mobile you can easily swap to different network.
