Looking for some decent (and FREE) animation software.

Yeah... I kinda like to make cartoons and specially animations, but I can't find any decent software to animate. I've been animating with MS Paint and Movie Maker (2.6), but lately Movie Maker has been crashing too much, so I can't do much anymore...

So, I'm looking for some decent animating software. Suggestions?
Oh, and please, something that's FREE or at a low cost.

Google "animation software free." There are many that offer free trials and a couple that are actually free. Before you get into a free trial package, look at how much it costs and make sure you're willing to pay that price if you like it.
