VI editor

What is an VI editor? What are some of the advantages of using an VI editor? Pls help ASAP.

A Unix visual text editor that edits the file in a buffer. The word "advantage" is missing what you're comparing it to.

Compared to other methods of using Unix, it's more humanized but you still have to use a lot of symbolic commands.
