The following is an explaination that Ryan, the site founder put up:

eHelp.com is a reputation based community. You can gain reputation scores by asking quality questions (clear and useful) and posting helpful answers. When other users vote your question or answer up, you will receive 5 points of reputation, but when they vote it down, you'll lose 2 points. If your post gets removed by the moderator/reputable users, you'll lose 20 points.

Thanks Rob! :D
Hi AzureATX, thank you for your contributions! if you want to answer your own question, you can simply edit your question and add the answer into it or you can add the answer as a comment. Creating a new account to answer your own question and assign Reputation Score to that account seems unfair to other members, so I suspended your second account. Sorry for that.

Thank you for your understanding! ;o)

you gain some points by asking useful questions. When people vote your answer up you get 5 points=) , but if they vote down, you lose 2 points instead =(
If your answer gets removed you lose 20 points in total ='(
Hope that helped =)
