Tanganyika has made much better progress than their neighboring countries toward having a free and open society. There have been very few tribal differences and they've adopted a common language. It's pride in these accomplishments that unifies the country.

role of elites such as julius nyerere who played a greate role in uniting Tanganyikans,nyerere also called upon the fight for independence in the un council he also called for youth voting the influence of nyerere brought councious and awareness among Tanganyikans in yhe struggle for their uindepence.
